TOP RENEWAL MISTAKES

  • • Incomplete or inaccurate renewals:
Renew early and carefully! Every year we make hundreds of telephone calls to avoid returning incomplete renewal forms.
         • Please make sure that the renewal forms are filled out legibly and completely.
         • Return all pages of the renewal form to us.
         • Be sure the form is signed.
         • Enclose your check or payment information.
         • Enclose  continuing  education  certificates, if not on our CE Upload Program.
  • • Continuing education requirement not complete or not submitted:
Those licensees lacking complete continuing education requirements have two choices:
         • Have the license placed on an inactive status effective  January 1, 2014 (no longer able to practice real estate)
         • Renew license on active status and face disciplinary action and fines from the Real Estate Commission.
  • • Postal meter marks will not be honored:
State law allows us to recognize USPS postmarks as a means of complying with deadlines which involve fees. Independent postage meters marks are not sufficient to meet this requirement.
  • • Illegible and/or incomplete credit card information:
Please be careful and accurate when writing your credit card information. Also, remember to supply the expiration date of the credit card used and supply your signature authorizing the charge. We cannot accept debit cards or American Express credit cards.
  • • Combining renewal with transfer, change of business address, change of personal name, etc:
Fees, applicable Commission forms and documentation are required in addition to the renewal application and renewal fees.
  • • Corporation/Limited Liability Company/Limited Liability Partnership status with the Wyoming Secretary of State:
When renewing a corporation, LLC or LLP license, you are required to submit an Entity Detail from the Wyoming Secretary of State showing that the entity is in “Good” standing. If your entity is “Delinquent” for any reason, the renewal will not be processed until we receive “Good” standing from the Wyoming Secretary of State. I suggest that you go to http://wyobiz.wy.gov, click on Name Search, type in the entity name, click on Search, click on Filing No. to determine your company status as soon as possible to prevent the delay in processing renewals.
