Sample Educational Specifications

The following sample Educational Specifications were drafted by the School Facilities Commission to provide an understanding of the data that might be included in an Education Specification for an Elementary School, Middle School and a High School.

In general Education Specifications are used to convey the districts programs and needs in the most concise manner. In order to achieve the most functional designs, districts should prepare a corresponding Education Specification for each new facility or a major renovation project. Districts are welcome to use these samples, or are welcome to use another format that is more suited to their needs.

• Major Capital Payment Instructions
• SFC 600 - Contract Initiation & Modification Form
  • As a convenience to the District, contracts will no longer be initiated using the SFC form 600.  This information will now be generated internally, reflecting the information exchanged between the District and Project Manager.
  • To initiate a new contract or create an amendment to an existing contract, coordinate with your PM.  The PM will initiate the contract process on behalf of the District and work with Staff to draft the contract.
